CYCLONE

Conical construction that separates air and dust is called cyclone. The cyclone has very common use areas. The cyclone works as a pre-filter dust collector and decreases dust from the filter in the systems where is more of dust load.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

When air and dust mixture enters in the system, it slows down due to the growth of the section and makes vortex motion. Thus, mixture is subjected to phase change and dust falls through gravity and centrifugal.

Feeding

Dust and air mixture that enters in the cyclone with high speed takes a helical flow form due to the construction of the cyclone.

Separating

Mixture loses its speed due to sudden speed change. Higher density dusts than carrier medium move toward down and dust flow to bottom conical collection bunker as percolate from cyclone internal wall.
